Club Cuba Libre has changed ownership over time from once the cool jazz playing club known as Gecko with a resident band playing live music to  the hippy Club Havarna, a short time Gemini and now Club Cuba Libre.

Club Cuba Libre is a combination of the initial Gecko Club and more. It has a resident band and dances playing jazz, soul salsa and has karaoke nights. All this embraces cabaret and live music, giving the mombasa night club residents an option of their favourite music.

Cuba Libre or club Libre as is popularly known comes with a restaurant, sports bar and a wide dance floor, open all days of the weeks closing at 2.00 am from Momdays through thursdays and stays overnight until late in the morning in the remaining days.
