South Coast
'South Coast' refers to the stretch of coastline leading south from Likoni on the southern shores of Mombasa's Kilindini Harbour.
Shelley beach is the first main beach on the south coast, followed by Tiwi beach, inland is the unique Shimba Hills National Reserve. Ukunda is the main town in the region, serving the popular resorts along Diani Beach. Further south are Galu Beach and Kinondo Beach, Chale Island and Point, Msambweni, Funzi Island, Shimoni, and just before the border with Tanzania is Wasini Island and the Mpunguti/Kisite Marine National Park.
